St Gregory of Tours, tr. Dalton, 1927

Book 9, 2. Of the Death of the Blessed Radegund

In this year1 the most blessed Radegund passed away from this world, leaving behind her great lamentation in the monastery which she had founded; I myself was present at her burying. She died on the thirteenth day of the sixth month,2 and was buried three days afterwards. In my book of Miracles I have judged it well to write more fully of the wonders manifested on that day and of the manner of her burial.3
