Book 8, 38. How They of Spain Broke into Gaul
In the eleventh year of King Childebert1 envoys came once more from Spain, seeking peace; but they also received no definite reply, and returned home. Recared, son of Leuvigild, came as far as Narbonne, and made a raid in Frankish territory, but returned home unobserved.
