“God is wondrous in His holy places,” who, out of love for the whole Church, crowned the souls of the prelates with healthful peace. And this has been the source of the greatest blessedness on both sides; on the part of those who, though they had held their possessions through a long period of years, nevertheless voluntarily, in order to make amends in the peace of Christ, gave them up to our bishop before his death; as well as on our part, who had been scattered into exile in many places and had served in sadness under foreign masters, and now in peace with all men who were everywhere reconciled to our master, had hope of life, and lived in blessedness with our beloved lord and master, rejoicing and exulting.
