Rule 37: How Can He Recover Zeal Who is Backward in Obeying the Commandment? (R. 66)

By being fully convinced of the presence of the Lord God Who sees all things and of the threats pronounced against the backward, and of the hope of a great recompence from the Lord, Who promises by Paul the apostle that each shall receive his own reward according to his own labour1; and by attending to all2 other things written in the Scriptures to stir up each man to zeal and endurance, that God may be glorified.
